How to order:

1. Browse our product pages which have been split into helpful sections: Solar Charger, Solar Flashlights, and Solar Compact Systems. If you are searching for anything in particular, just use the search option at the top of the page.

2. To purchase a product, simply click on the ‘add to basket’ button. This will take you to the shopping cart. Here you will see the goods you have ordered as you choose them. Click on ‘continue shopping’ to continue browsing. Once you have made all your choices click on ’proceed to checkout’. To review your basket at any time, just click the basket at the top of every page.

3. The checkout process allows you to check and confirm your order, provide your delivery address and phone number as well as pay using your card. Items can be added or removed up until the transaction is confirmed.


Delivery Information

Cougar Solar accepts orders for most UK addresses. We are unable to deliver to P O Boxes. All orders are shipped within 28 days. We aim to deliver most items within 5 – 7 days subject to stock being available.

Your order may be delivered by courier and in most cases a signature is required to accept receipt of the parcel. Please ensure that when you provide your delivery address someone will be available to accept delivery within normal business hours. If you are not in when your goods arrive by courier, a card will be put through your door giving details of the attempted delivery as well as contact details for the courier company. If this fails, the goods will be returned to Cougar Solar.


Postage and packing:

- Free – P & P is free for all orders over £150
- Standard – Standard – For orders less than £150 there is a single P & P charge of £6.99
We do everything to meet our delivery times. However, delivery times may very rarely be affected by unforeseen circumstances. Should this be the case, we will notify you as soon as we become aware of it.

Priority Processing

Our products are shipped in the order they are received in. However, you can be moved to the head of the line with priority processing. This ensures that your order will be one of the very first to leave our warehouse. This super speedy service will ensure that you receive your package fastest (subject to stock availability).

The handling of your order can be upgraded to this service for an additional £3.99 only.

Returns and After sales:

Cougar Solar wants you to be totally satisfied with the products that it provides to you. If you would like to cancel your order for products and return them you may do so at any time within 7 days from the day you receive them. You will need to contact the returns department initially with your order details, the product(s) being returned and the reasons for returning the product. This can be done either in writing to the returns department (returns@cougarsolar.com) or by filling out the online returns form.

This cancellation policy will not apply if the fault arises from fair wear and tear in our reasonable opinion, deliberate damage, accidental damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without the manufacturer approval.


Condition of returns:

- The item(s) must be returned unopened and in its original packaging, complete with any accessories provided
- If you open the goods to inspect them, you can still return them before or up to 7 days following delivery. However, you should ensure that this is done without damaging or marking the product or packaging.
- The product(s) must not have been used or installed. It should be returned in its original box and packaging, along with any accessories received with it
- You are responsible for returning the goods. The cost of delivery will not be refunded unless there is a technical fault with the product or was damaged on receipt.


Faulty Goods:

If within the applicable product guarantee period (usually 12 months from delivery) a fault or other defect develops, we will normally offer a repair service. You will always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 7 days of delivery. In all cases, we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault. To qualify for a refund or exchange, the product must be returned in the original packaging with all accessories and must be in ‘as new’ condition.

Cougar Solar will confirm the cancellation by e-mail with instructions for returning the product(s). The cost of the products will be refunded to you within 28 days from receipt of your confirmation.


Conditions of Sale:

When you click on ‘confirm order’ Cougar Solar will treat the order as an offer by you to purchase the product(s) and will separately order the delivery services subject to these terms and conditions of sale. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order.

If Cougar Solar accepts your offer, it shall confirm each order by e-mail. The terms of your order will not be filed electronically and will not be made available to you on request, so you should save and/or print off Cougar Solar’s confirmation of the orders for your records.

Any times quoted for deliveries are approximate only and Cougar Solar shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products howsoever caused. If you would like to cancel your order for delivery services, you may do so at any point before the products in question are despatched to you. Once the products have been consigned to the third party delivery agent the delivery services will have commenced and it will be too late for you to cancel the delivery services. This however does not affect your ability to cancel the contract for the products themselves.
